Payback

This is our first commercial game, so we're doing our best to make sure it's really special. It's a gangster warfare game with some serious attitude. More details soon.

Features include:

  • Perspective correct texture mapping.
  • Environment mapped cars.
  • Bump-mapped reflections.
  • Realistic physics model.
  • Advanced alpha-channelling effects.
  • 100 square kilometres of land and 4 different cities to explore.
  • Dozens of vehicles to drive, each with their own unique handling characteristics. Includes trucks, cars, buses, tanks, boats and a few other surprises!
  • Realistic real-time shadows.
  • Non-linear mission structure.
  • Advanced 3d audio system. (AHI not required.)
  • Runs at 10 frames/sec on an 040/25 - more on faster machines!

Requirements: 020/14, 16Mb RAM (may work with just 10Mb (8Mb fast, 2Mb chip), but the game will run slower), CD-ROM, AGA.
Recommended: 040/25 or faster, 16Mb RAM, CD-ROM, hard disk, AGA.

WarpUP support: Not yet. Will be added as soon as we get our hands on a G4 board.
Cybergraphx: Not yet. However, once we get our grubby mitts on a CybervisionNG, GFX card support will be added.
Warp3D: Again, not yet. Needless to say, once we get that CybervisionNG, we'll add 3D support.

Expected release date: Christmas 1999
Expected retail price: 28.95 pounds sterling + P&P
